Asians love street food -in fact, its a very big part of our lives in Singapore and Malaysia. Everything from the street corner vadai from the Indian uncle to the really delicious, fatty and irresistible Char Kway Tiow are all street food originals, and we simply cannot get enough of it. Given Luke Nguyen’s penchant for curious, its highly unsurprising that he has (finally) come to Asia exploring the street foods in countries such as Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and Vietnam. We got a small taste of this when he did Luke Nguyen’s Vietnam, where we saw him on the streets cooking with street food vendors and adapting some recipes to suit global tastes. In his new show Luke Nguyen’s Street Food Asia, we discover how street food is prepared from scratch, a behind-the-scenes exclusive that you can’t quite find on other shows. He will also be putting the classic Luke Nguyen spin on the dishes, which is something I cannot wait for.
In conjucntion of this awesome new show, take part in the TLC Instagram contest! Here’s how you do it.
