Goodwood Park Hotel’s Durian Fiesta is back, from now till 22 July. We all know and love Goodwood Park Hotel for many reasons, chief among them the vast array of durian delicious-ness served up by this heritage hotel.
Singapore’s obsession with the king of fruits has given way to many new bakeries surfacing with their very own durian desserts. Goodwood Park Hotel keeps its finger firmly in the prize pot by dishing out well-loved and brand new durian creations year after year, showing everyone else who’s boss, really.
The New Creations
This year, it’s a feast for the eyes and greedily watering durian-crazy tongues as each new creation is served in a too-pretty-to-eat presentation… But I assure you, greed will find a way. New friends to the Goodwood Park Hotel Durian family include the D24 White Chocolate Raspberry Dome, D24 Orange Choc-a-bloc, D24 Coffee Glaze and D24 Kataifi.
The D24 White Chocolate Raspberry Dome is the fairest of them. A small, cute biscuit tart base is filled with delectable D24 Durian pulp, then adorned with an innocent, white chocolate mousse dome. There’s also a rim of raspberry that helps to keep the white chocolate dome in place and adds a delightful punch of flavour to the dessert.
The D24 Coffee Glaze sees an eternal favourite of mankind join forces with the polarising fruit. Layers of D24 durian pulp and coffee sponge alternate in this sinful cake, that’s finished elegantly with a mauve coffee glaze.
The Timeless Classics
Since its launch in 1983, the world around the Goodwood Park Hotel Durian Fiesta may have changed many times over but not the D24 Mousse Cake – think generous amounts of D24 durian pulp piled into this cake in the form of a mousse. I once bought this cake for a friend’s birthday (3 years ago) and we still talk about it today. Do you need to be convinced further?
Joining the heavy hitter are the D24 puff, D24 Crepe and D24 Ice Cream tub. The old adage, if it ain’t broke don’t fix it, rings true here with these definitive items on the menu.

From 5 May to 22 July, die-hard fans of this pungent but rewarding fruit can indulge in an all-you-can-eat buffet at the Coffee Lounge. The buffet features all 7 D24 durian creations, along with special items such as Durian Pancakes and Durian tarts created especially for guests.
