From July through September, InterContinental Danang has curated an exciting calendar of things to see and do. This covers diverse interests such as food, art, wellness, nature, family and music. Epicurean Adventures
Foodies have plenty of mouth-watering moments to savour this summer. Every Wednesday at sunset, couples can embark on The Nam Tram Dining Journey. This is a a romantic culinary journey aboard the resort’s funicular cable car, with four creative courses served as diners ascend four levels: Heaven, Sky, Earth and Sea. Are you a weekend person? Then enjoy the Barefoot’s Beach BBQ & Bonfire on Saturday evenings. Sundays mean Champagne Brunch at Citron, an in-house restaurant.
For a truly exclusive epicurean occasion, guests should visit on 2 September, when one of Asia’s top culinary masters, Chef Ton from Bangkok, will be revealing the art of Thai cuisine.
Artistic Experiences
InterContinental Danang’s highly original design concept was crafted by Bill Bensley, the maverick architect, interior and landscape designer. Guests can luxuriate in a natural vernacular that blends a bold black and white palette with vibrant splashes of color and authentic Vietnamese imagery. From 15-17 September, guests can enjoy Discover Your Inner Artist! This lively, interactive three-day workshop combines small group talks and art classes and will be led by Bill Bensley himself.
Guests can also browse and purchase original artworks at the BENSLEY Outsider Gallery, an elegant pavilion in a cobblestone courtyard. The proceeds from any sales are donated to charitable causes, including wildlife conservation. The gallery also showcases a collection of customised jewellery by celebrated Australian designer Kate McCoy.
Wellness Retreats
Travellers can embark on a journey to physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing at InterContinental Danang this summer, with a choice of rejuvenating activities. Start your day with Sunrise Yoga classes at the Yoga Pavilion. Want more? The world of Sound Therapy awaits at Mi Sol Spa, where therapists use tuning forks to create unique wellness rituals.
Once a month, the resort’s wellness professionals will stage Energy Zen Retreats, holistic full-day itineraries that encompass immersive sessions. This runs across the resort’s four levels, including healthy cuisine, meditation, yoga, fitness, tai chi, dancing and much more! This summer, retreats will be staged on 6th August and 3rd September.
Family Fun
Families have an endless array of experiences to stay entertained this summer. Youngsters can learn all about the wildlife of the Son Tra Peninsula, including the resident population of endangered red-shanked douc langurs. Kids’ Outdoor Adventures at the resort’s Planet Trekkers Kids Club also away eager junior explorers. Parents and children can come together and try the world’s fastest-growing racquet sport, Pickleball, at the Sports Centre.
At Citron, the resort’s culinary experts will stage daily Vietnamese Cooking Classes to let all ages learn about the art of local cuisine. Epic Ice Cream Adventures is also available at the L_o_n_g Bar – the perfect way to cool down during a day of fun in the sun. For relaxing evenings, the resort’s cinema will be screening a series of classic and blockbuster movies at its Summer Film Festival.
Musical Moments
At the end of an action-packed week, music lovers can come together and unwind with the soothing sound of Sunset Jazz at the Buffalo Bar. The talented Hat Jazz Band will play live, creating the perfect backdrop to every Friday evening on the sea-facing terrace. Budding pop stars can also enjoy Karaoke Fun at M Rouge.
