New menus, new cocktails, and a one-for-one happy hour 40 floors above the city. Here is what is new at one of Singapore’s most scenic dining addresses.

If you are looking for a rooftop bar in Singapore that pairs serious food with serious views, Artemis Grill and Sky Bar at CapitaGreen just gave you two new reasons to visit.

The restaurant is rolling out a fully refreshed set of lunch, dinner, and dessert menus, and launching a brand-new one-for-one happy hour at the Sky Bar every weekday. Both are worth knowing about. Perched 40 floors above Cecil Street in the CBD, Artemis has always done the rooftop restaurant format well. The new updates push it further.

New Menus: Southern European Cooking at Its Sharpest

The refreshed menus span lunch, dinner and dessert, and expand the restaurant’s Southern European offering considerably. The kitchen draws its inspiration from coastal Spain, Southern France, Italy and Greece, and the new dishes reflect that range with confidence.

Starters

The Hamachi Crudo with Smoked Eggplant and Roasted Red Pepper is clean and precise. The Argentinian Red Prawns a la Plancha with Fava Bean Puree and Pork Sobrasada Vinaigrette brings bold, smoky depth. Vegetarians can indulge in the Watermelon Tartare with Goats Cheese and Sicilian Pistachio.

Mains

The Spiced Cauliflower Frittata with Ras El Hanout and Harissa Tzatziki works as a satisfying standalone vegetarian plate. The House-made Octopus and Squid Ink Fusilli is the pasta dish to order. The centrepiece, though, is the Australian F1 Wagyu Cote de Boeuf. This is a large, sharing portion and works as a beautiful centrepiece.

Desserts

The Sicilian Blood Orange Almond Cake with Passionfruit Cream and Blood Orange Sorbet is the highlight. The Burnt Cheesecake Tarta de Queso with Red Berries Coulis and Vanilla Ice Cream will satisfy anyone who does not need to be convinced that cheesecake is always the right decision. The Sicilian Pistachio Torte rounds out a dessert list that is short, focused and worth reading all the way through.

The Sky Bar Happy Hour: One-For-One, Every Weekday

Every weekday from 3pm to 7pm, the Sky Bar runs a one-for-one happy hour across an expanded list of cocktails, premium G&Ts, wines and draught beer.

The cocktail list covers both classics and house originals. Order an Espresso Martini, Negroni or Hugo Spritz and get a second on the house. The house signatures, such as the Moon Dance, Queen of Hearts and Chelsea Picnic, follow the same deal. All of this happens on an al fresco terrace 40 floors above the city, with Singapore’s skyline as the backdrop.

For anyone working in or near Raffles Place, this is one of the better reasons to linger after 3pm that Singapore currently has on offer.

Who Should Go

Artemis works for several different occasions, and the new menu refresh makes it relevant for more of them.

For a business lunch in the CBD: The weekday lunch menu runs from 11.30am to 2.30pm, Monday to Friday. The room and the food both make the right impression.

For things to do in Singapore with visiting friends or family: A sunset dinner at 40 floors with views over Marina Bay is the kind of experience visitors remember. Saturday dinners start from 5.30 pm.

For after-work drinks in the city: The one-for-one happy hour from 3pm to 7pm on weekdays makes Artemis one of the most compelling rooftop bar options in Singapore’s CBD right now. Order the house cocktails and stay for the view.
